A couple of months or so ago I was browsing on marthastewart.com and came across this short video by One Whole Minute about home-made Kale chips.

I knew that kale was super healthy for you so I thought “why not?”. I then proceeded to buy some kale from my produce market to test out this recipe.

Now, they looked super good and I was very excited to try this super crunchy, salty and healthy snack. However, the moment after was not so nice. Nobody told me kale tasted like fish!?!

But I was not quite ready to give up on this healthy snack, so like the video suggests I decided to try beet leaves instead. I have made it a couple of times now and it is yummy! I definitely recommend you try it.

Just in case you don’t have time to watch a 60 sec long video ;), here is the recipe:

1.Buy 1 bunch of beets from your produce store.

2.Chop the leaves and the steams into medium bite sized pieces and store away the beets for another recipe.

3. Rinse and dry.

4. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle a bit of olive oil and sea salt on top.

5. Give it a toss and place in a 275 degree oven for about 20 minutes.

6. Enjoy!
